The new casino in Danville is open. The $650 million dollar project, by Caesars Virginia, includes 320 hotel rooms and numerous restaurants. The gaming features 1,500 slot machines and approximately 80 table games. There's also a sportsbook, plus a poker room with 21 tables.
ROCK Outdoors, based in North Carolina has opened a new superstore at Smith Mountain Lake. Located in Hardy, near Westlake Corner, they sell everything for the great outdoors, including boats and boating equipment, fishing, hunting, and camping gear of every sort, and a wide variety of apparel.
